SMS (Short Message Service) Creating an original message You can create an original return message. 1 Enter Bluetooth mode Press the [ ] button. 2 Enter SMS Message select mode Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed. Select "BT Settings" > "SMS" > "SMS Message". 3 Select the SMS message edit mode Turn the [VOL] knob to select "User", and then press the [VOL] knob for at least 1 second. 4 Create a message Operation type Select the characters Select the column Select the character type Delete the character Delete the all characters. Operation Turn the [VOL] knob and press the [VOL] knob. Turn the [VOL] knob and press the [VOL] knob. Press the [DISP] button. Press the [PRESET] button. Press the [PRESET] button for at least 1 second. 5 To preview the message Press the [VOL] knob for at least 1 second. Pressing the [MENU] button, return to step create a message. 6 Determine the message Press the [VOL] knob. 7 Exit SMS Message select mode Press the [MENU] button. 8 Exit BT Settings mode Press the [ ] button. ⁄ • You can enter letters using the remote control. Example of entry: To enter letter "A", press the [2] button once, and then press the [¢] button. To enter letter "F", press the [3] button three times and then press the [¢] button. To switch between letter types, press the [DIRECT] button. After entering all letters, pressing the [38] button allows you to preview the message. Pressing the [38] button again determines the message. SMS manual reply You can manually reply to the received SMS. When a new message arrives "SMS Reply" is displayed. 1 Turn the [VOL] knob to select "YES", and then press the [VOL] knob. Selecting "NO" cancels the SMS manual reply. 2 Select the desired message (language) Turn the [VOL] knob to select message (language), and then press the [VOL] knob. 3 Send the reply message Press the [VOL] knob. If sensing of the reply message fails, "Send Error" is displayed. After this, selecting "YES" while "SMS Resend" is displayed will resend the reply message. Creating an original message
You can create an original return message.

Enter Bluetooth mode
Press the [
] button.

Enter SMS Message select mode
Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the
desired item is displayed.
Select “BT Settings”
> “SMS”
> “SMS Message”.

Select the SMS message edit mode
Turn the [VOL] knob to select “User”, and then
press the [VOL] knob for at least 1 second.

Create a message

Select the characters
Turn the [VOL] knob and press the [VOL]
knob.
Select the column
Turn the [VOL] knob and press the [VOL]
knob.
Select the character type
Press the [DISP] button.
Delete the character
Press the [PRESET] button.
Delete the all characters.
Press the [PRESET] button for at least
1 second.

To preview the message
Press the [VOL] knob for at least 1 second.
Pressing the [MENU] button, return to step create
a message.
Determine
the message

SMS manual reply
You can manually reply to the received SMS.
When a new message arrives
“SMS Reply” is displayed.

Turn the [VOL] knob to select “YES”, and then
press the [VOL] knob.
Selecting “NO” cancels the SMS manual reply.

Select the desired message (language)
Turn the [VOL] knob to select message
(language), and then press the [VOL] knob.

Send the reply message
Press the [VOL] knob.
If sensing of the reply message fails, “Send Error”
is displayed. After this, selecting “YES” while “SMS
Resend” is displayed will resend the reply message.
Selecting “NO” will cancel the SMS manual reply.
Canceling the SMS manual reply
Press the [SRC] button.
