Invalid Ribbon Type An error message appears when this occurs. Possible Cause Ribbon is not seated correctly in ribbon carrier Barcode on ribbon is scratched, defective, or dirty. Possible Solution • Re-seat the ribbon in the ribbon carrier. Make sure the bobbins engage in the ribbon carrier. (See illustration below.) • Check the barcode for damage.
