Turning on the scanner When you turn on the scanner, the green indicator on the front of the scanner will flash as the scanner goes through a series of self tests. Turning the scanner off Starting the scanner after an automatic power off Please wait while the operating system synchronizes the scanner with the installed software. When the installation process is complete and ready to scan, the green LED indicator light will stop flashing and a number will be displayed in the Function window. NOTE: If the LED indicator light continues to flash or "E" is displayed in the Function window, refer to Chapter 5, Troubleshooting. To turn the scanner off, press the power button to the Off (O) position. NOTE: The Power Off energy saver feature will turn the scanner off after 60 minutes of inactivity. If your scanner goes into energy saver mode after 60 minutes of inactivity, just press the Start button to turn the scanner on again. 2-6 A-61602 June 2013

Turning on the
scanner
When you turn on the scanner, the green indicator on the front of the
scanner will flash as the scanner goes through a series of self tests.
Please wait while the operating system synchronizes the scanner with
the installed software.
When the installation process is complete and ready to scan, the green
LED indicator light will stop flashing and a number will be displayed in
the Function window.
NOTE: If the LED indicator light continues to flash or “E” is displayed in
the Function window, refer to Chapter 5,

Turning the scanner off
To turn the scanner off, press the power button to the Off (O) position.
NOTE: The
Power Off
energy saver feature will turn the scanner off
after 60 minutes of inactivity.
Starting the scanner after
an automatic power off
If your scanner goes into energy saver mode after 60 minutes of
inactivity, just press the Start button to turn the scanner on again.
