Power shutdown To conserve battery power, the camera automatically goes into a sleep mode if it is not operated for more than 4 minutes. You can awaken the camera by taking a picture or by closing and reopening the lens cover. When the camera will not be used for an extended length of time, close the lens cover to completely turn off the camera. 7
