Appendix 2. FAX function 2. FAX function 2.1 Installing/setting procedure of the FAX kit 2.1.1 Install procedure 1. Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the power cord from the power outlet. 2. Connect the supplied USB cable and wire harness to the fax kit. As for the wire harness, insert the connector on the side where the blue cable tie is attached. 3. Remove the rear right cover from the main body. (One screw) 4. Remove the rear cover from the main body. (One screw) 5. Cut off the knockout from the rear cover. 6. Remove the metal plate. (Four screws) 7. Remove the four screws. 8. Remove the shield plate. (Seven screws) 9. Attach the fax kit by fitting the tab. (Two supplied screws) Attach the fax kit while pushing it to the main body. Be careful not to pinch the wire harness. 10. Connect the USB cable and wire harness to the base board. 11. Route the USB cable and wire harness through the wire saddle. 12. To install the covers and other parts removed in steps (3) to (8), reverse the removal procedure. 13. Connect the supplied modular cable to the LINE port. If the user is connected with a key telephone system or a private branch exchange (PBX), do not connect the modular cable to where other than an analog line. 14. Installing/setting procedure of the FAX kit

Install procedure
1.
Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
2.
Connect the supplied USB cable and wire harness to the fax kit.
As for the wire harness, insert the connector on the side where the blue cable tie is
attached.
3.
Remove the rear right cover from the main body. (One screw)
4.
Remove the rear cover from the main body. (One screw)
5.
Cut off the knockout from the rear cover.
6.
Remove the metal plate. (Four screws)
7.
Remove the four screws.
8.
Remove the shield plate. (Seven screws)
9.
Attach the fax kit by fitting the tab. (Two supplied screws)
Attach the fax kit while pushing it to the main body.
Be careful not to pinch the wire harness.
10.
Connect the USB cable and wire harness to the base board.
11.
Route the USB cable and wire harness through the wire saddle.
12.
To install the covers and other parts removed in steps (3) to (8), reverse the removal
procedure.
13.
Connect the supplied modular cable to the LINE port.
If the user is connected with a key telephone system or a private branch exchange
(PBX), do not connect the modular cable to where other than an analog line.
14.
Affix the supplied label (Super G3 label).

Affix the supplied name plate label.
