USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR ENSURING PROPER AIR CIRCULATION NEXT In order to ensure proper temperatures, air must flow between the refrigerator and freezer sections. As shown in the illustration below, cool air enters through the refrigerator of the freezer section and moves up. Most of the air then flows through the freezer section vents and recirculates under the freezer floor. The rest of the air enters the refrigerator section through the top vent. 1. Clean your refrigerator thoroughly and wipe off dust accumulated during shipping. 2. Install accessories such as ice cube bin, drawers, shelves, etc., in their proper places. They are packed together to prevent possible damage during shipment. 3. Let your refrigerator run for at least 2 or 3 hours before putting food in it. Check the flow of cold air in the freezer compartment to ensure proper cooling. Your refrigerator is now ready for use. CONTROL PANEL FEATURES Press the button for the desire function to reviewand select other settings. ICE TYPE CRUSH CUBE LED DISPLAY The LED display shows the temperature settings, dispenser options, and the water filter door alarm, and status messages. • Do not block any of these vents with food packages. If the vents are blocked, airflow will be interruped and temperature and moisture problems may occur. ICE PLUS HOLD 3 SECS MONTH ICE TYPE ICE TYPE ICE TYPE The ICE TYPE is used to select cube ice or crushed ice. NOTE: Hold the glass or other container in place for a couple of seconds after dispensing ice or water to catch the last few cubes or drops. The dispenser is designed not operate while either refrigerator door is open. IMPORTANT: Because air circulates between both sections, any odors formed in one section will transfer to the other. You must thorougly clean both sections to eliminate odors. To prevent odor transfer and drying out food, wrap or cover foods tightly. (See the Food Storage Guide section for details.) Note: If you close the refrigerator forcefully, the freezer door may open and close again due to pressure from internal air flow. FREEZER REFRIGERATOR FREEZER FREEZER Press the FREEZER button to adjust the temperature in the freezer compartment. ICE PLUS REFRIGERATOR REFRIGERATOR Press the REFRIGERATOR button to LIGTH/FILTER adjust the temperature in the refrigerator compartment. ALARM/LOCK 3SECS NOTE: The actual inner temperature varies depending on the food status, since the indicated temperature setting is the target temperature and not the actual temperature within the refrigerator. Initially set the REFRIGERATOR CONTROL at 37°F (3°C ). Leave it at these settings for 24 hours (one day) to stabilize. Then adjust the compartment temperature as illustrates above. NOTE: When pressed simultaneously the REFRIGERATOR button and the FREEZER button for more than five seconds, the temperature display will change from Fahrenheit to Celsius or vice versa. 10
