Troubleshooting Before Calling for Service Problem Air outlet has an abnormal odor Sensor Indicator Possible Cause Is the unit being used in a smoky area? Is the unit being used in a room with food odors? Were the filters completely dry after cleaning before the unit was re-energized? Dust sensor light is always on a high level. Odor sensor level is on a high level. Solutions Air purifier used in smoky areas may cause the filter to be less efficient. Food odors may stay in the filter. Allow enough air to circulate through the filter. Wash and dry the air filter completely. If the air filter is still wet damp when used, it may cause odors from the filter. Clean the dust sensor and filter. The LG air purifier is designed to detect pollutants in the air. It may not be able to sense food odors.
