3. Install and Run LaCie Network Assistant 1. Install LaCie Network Assistant on your computer from the LaCie Utilities CD-ROM. Then: • Windows users, click the Network Assistant icon in the menu bar. • Mac users, click the Network Assistant icon in the menu bar. • Linux users, click the Network Assistant icon in the task bar. 2. A) To access files, select "LaCie-XXXXXXXXX" (X may be any alphanumeric character) from the menu, and in the submenu select "PUBLIC". B) To access the administration page, select "LaCie-XXXXXXXXX" (X may be any alphanumeric character) from the menu, and in the submenu select "Web access". Obtain Back up Software (Optional) Compatible versions of Intego Backup Assistant™ and Genie Backup Assistant™ software can be downloaded from the LaCie web site and used to back up workstations connected to the Ethernet Disk. To obtain it, first register your product at www.lacie.com/register, then download the software from the Ethernet Disk product page.
