Step 9. Remove the five screws that secure the system fan to the heat-sink and lift the system fan up to remove it. Step 10. Separate the defective fan from the good one as shown. Step 11. To install the new system fan: a. Line up the new set system fan with mounting holes on the motherboard. b. Secure the system fan with five screws. c. Connect the fan power cable to the connectors on the motherboard. Step 12. Reattach the EMI cover, middle cover, optical drive, computer stand and the rear cover.
