In Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 operating system, you also need to disable Fast Startup function to meet the off mode requirement of ErP compliance. To disable the Fast Startup function, do the following: 1. Select Apps → Control Panel from the Search charm. 2. From the Control Panel, choose All Control Panel Items → Power Options. 3. Select Choose what the power buttons do from the pop-up dialog box. 4. Choose Change settings that are currently unavailable option, and uncheck the Turn on fast startup option from the Shutdown Settings list.
