Notices Example of antenna grounding a b g c f e d a Ground clamp b Antenna lead-in wire c Antenna discharge unit (NEC Section 810-20) d Grounding conductors (NEC Section 810-21) e Power service grounding electrode system (NEC Article 250, Part H) f Ground clamps g Electronic service equipment The following notice applies to all countries and regions: Danger: • Outdoor antenna grounding If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the equipment, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. • Lightning For added protection for this equipment during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the video product due to lightning and power line surges. 31
