Installing adapters This section provides information and instructions for installing and removing adapters. Adapter slots Your computer has three expansion slots for peripheral component interconnect (PCI) adapter and one slot for an accelerated graphics port (AGP) adapter. You can install an adapter up to 330 mm (13 inches) long. Installing adapters To install an adapter: 1. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 21. 2. Remove the adapter slot cover latch and the slot cover for the appropriate expansion slot. 3. Remove the adapter from its static-protective package. 4. Install the adapter into the appropriate slot on the system board. 26 User Guide

Installing adapters
This section provides information and instructions for installing and removing
adapters.
Adapter slots
Your computer has three expansion slots for peripheral component interconnect
(PCI) adapter and one slot for an accelerated graphics port (AGP) adapter. You can
install an adapter up to 330 mm (13 inches) long.
Installing adapters
To install an adapter:
1.
Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 21.
2.
Remove the adapter slot cover latch and the slot cover for the appropriate
expansion slot.
3.
Remove the adapter from its static-protective package.
4.
Install the adapter into the appropriate slot on the system board.
