14. Install the heat sink and fan assembly on the system board. 15. Connect the heat sink and fan assembly cable to the system board. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 124. Types 8013, 8716, 8976, 8986, 9266, 9282, 9374, 9384, and 9647 Important The heat sink and microprocessor might be very hot. Make sure these components are cool enough to safely handle before continuing this procedure. 1. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 87. 2. Lift the fan duct off the heat sink fan. 3. Disconnect the heat sink and fan assembly cable from the system board. See the system board illustration for your machine type at "Identifying parts on the system board" on page 89. 4.
