Menu item Timeouts Wait Timeout Description Sets the amount of time in seconds that the printer waits for additional data before canceling a print job Settings 15-65535 Notes: • The default setting is 40 seconds. • Wait Timeout is available only when using PostScript emulation. This value has no effect on PCL emulation print jobs. Timeouts Network Job Sets the amount of time in seconds that the printer waits for Timeout additional data from the network before canceling a print job 0-255 Notes: • The default setting is 40 seconds. • Network Job Timeout is available only when using PostScript emulation. This value has no effect on PCL emulation print jobs. Print Recovery Auto Continue Lets the printer automatically continue printing from certain Disabled offline situations when these situations are not resolved within 5-255 the specified time period Notes: • Disabled is the default setting. • 5-255 is a range of time in seconds. Print Recovery Jam Recovery Print Recovery Page Protect Specifies whether or not the printer reprints jammed pages On Notes: Off • Auto is the default setting. The printer reprints jammed pages Auto unless the memory required to hold the pages is needed for other printer tasks. • On sets the printer to always reprint jammed pages. • Off sets the printer to never reprint jammed pages. Lets the printer successfully print a page that may not have Off printed otherwise On Notes: • Off is the default setting. Off prints a partial page when there is not enough memory to print the whole page. • On sets the printer to process the whole page so that the entire page prints. Printer Language Sets the default printer language PCL Emulation PCL emulation uses a PCL interpreter for processing print jobs. PS Emulation PostScript emulation uses a PS interpreter for processing print jobs. Notes: • The default printer language varies depending on the type of printer purchased. • Setting a printer language as the default does not prevent a program from sending print jobs that use the other printer language. 17
