Printer specifications 44 • Do not use labels that have coating or sizing applied to make the labels liquid‑resistant. • Do not use labels that have exposed adhesive on the label sheets. When printing on card stock: • Select the appropriate paper texture setting. • For the best print quality, always set Paper Type to Card Stock. • Use grain short card stock when possible. • Do not use preprinted card stock manufactured with chemicals that may contaminate the printer. • Be aware that preprinting, perforation, and creasing may significantly affect the print quality and cause jams or other paper‑handling problems. Lexmark C746 and C748 The Lexmark C746 and C748 printer models support card stock and labels from the standard 550‑sheet tray, an optional 550‑sheet tray, the multipurpose feeder, and the optional 550‑sheet specialty media tray. Note: The optional 2,000‑sheet tray does not support card stock or labels. Tray 1, the optional 550‑sheet tray, and the specialty media tray support approximately 250 sheets of card stock or labels.
