Chapter 1 Product Overview NOTE: If the DS and US LEDs are flashing and the Online LED is not lit, the modem is still operating, but your Internet service has been disabled by your ISP. Contact your ISP for more information. Back Panel Power The Power port connects the Cable Modem to the power adapter. USB The USB port connects the Cable Modem to your computer using a USB cable. Ethernet The Ethernet port connects the Cable Modem to your wired computer or other Ethernet network device using a Category 5 (or better) Ethernet network cable. Reset The Reset button can be used to clear the Cable Modem's connections and restore its factory default settings. Using an object with a small tip, such as a pen, press and hold the button until you feel it click. Cable The Cable port connects the Cable Modem to the wall jack using the cable from your ISP.
