Linksys recommends that end-user check with the local authorities for the latest status of their national regulations for both the 2.4 GHz and the 5.0 GHz. DFS: This function is required by the national regulations to avoid interference with the Radio Location Services (radars) when operating in the 5.250-5.350 GHz & 5.470-5.725 GHz bands. This device operates in a client mode without radar detection capability. The client software and associated drivers will not initiate any transmission in the DFS frequencies during the presence of radar. TPC: For operation in the 5.0 GHz band, the maximum power level is 3 dB or more below the applicable limit. As such, TPC is not required.
