Settings NMEA 0183 Output Controls NMEA 0183 sentences used, allowing you to select the type of messages your unit will transmit when communicating with other NMEA 0183 devices. To access NMEA 0183 Output screen: 1. Select NMEA 0183 Output from the Network menu and press enter. 2. Select NMEA 2000 output sentences and press Enter. 3. Select the desired category and press Enter to reveal the NMEA 0183 sentences. 4. Highlight the desired sentence to turn it on/off. 5. Press Exit. NMEA 0183 Output sentences screen Vessels (only available if connected to AIS receiver) Controls settings used to monitor vessels transmitting AIS information in your area. That makes it easier to navigate safely through high traffic areas. To access the Vessels menu, select Vessels from the Settings menu and press enter. Vessels Menu MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity) You need to have your own MMSI number entered into the HDS system to be able to receive addressed messages from AIS vessels. NOTE: To display MMSI messages, you must turn on the "Vessels message" option in the Alarm Settings menu. To input MMSI number: 1. Highlight MMSI on the Vessels menu and press enter. 2. NMEA 0183 Output
Controls NMEA 0183 sentences used, allowing you to select the type of messages
your unit will transmit when communicating with other NMEA 0183 devices.
To access NMEA 0183 Output screen:
1.
Select
NMEA 0183 Output
from the
Network menu and press
ENTER
.
2. Select
NMEA 2000 output sentences
and press
ENTER
.
3. Select the desired category and
press
ENTER
to reveal the NMEA
0183 sentences.
4. Highlight the desired sentence to
turn it on/off.
5. Press
EXIT

Vessels (

MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity)
You need to have your own MMSI number entered into the HDS system to be able
to receive addressed messages from AIS vessels.
To input MMSI number:
1. Highlight
MMSI
on the Vessels menu

2. Use the keypad to input the MMSI
number and press
ENTER
