Settings are described below: Option [Setup] [System] Description The password prompt appears only when end users try to run Setup. A password prompt appears every time when the computer is powered on or when end users try to run Setup. Boot OS/2 for DRAM > 64MB This allows you to run the OS/2® operating system with DRAM larger than 64MB. When you choose [No], you cannot run the OS/2® operating system with DRAM larger than 64MB. But it is possible if you choose [Yes]. Setting options: [Yes], [No]. Limit CPUID MaxVal If installing Windows NT series OS with Prescott CPU, you must [Enable] this item function; if you use other OS except Windows NT, you have to [Disable] this item function. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled]. HT CPU Function This field is used to [Enabled] or [Disabled] the Intel Hyper Threading CPU function. Setting to [Enabled] will increase the system performance. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled]. Please disable this item if your operating system doesn't support HT Function, or unreliability and instability may occur. APIC Function This field is used to [Enabled] or [Disabled] the APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller). Due to compliance to PC2001 design guide, the system is able to run in APIC mode. Enabling APIC mode will expand available IRQs resources for the system. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled]. MPS Table Version This field allows you to select which MPS (Multi-Processor Specification) version to be used for the operating system. This allows you to run the OS/2

operating system with DRAM larger than 64MB. When
you choose [No], you cannot run the OS/2
®
operating system with DRAM larger than
64MB.
But it is possible if you choose [Yes]. Setting options: [Yes], [No].
Limit CPUID MaxVal
If installing Windows NT series OS with Prescott CPU, you must [Enable] this item
function; if you use other OS except Windows NT, you have to [Disable] this item
function. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled].
HT CPU Function
This field is used to [Enabled] or [Disabled] the Intel Hyper Threading CPU function.
