▍ Hardware Setup NVIDIA® Hybrid SLI Technology Hybrid SLI technology, based on NVIDIA®'s industry-leading SLI technology, delivers multi-GPU benefits when an NVIDIA® mainboard GPU is combined with an NVIDIA® discrete GPU. Enabling Hybrid SLI Technology Power off the system and install the NVIDIA® SLI graphic card that supports Hybrid SLI technology. After then, power on the system and install the "NVIDIA® SLI Driver"which supports Windows Vista only. Restart the system and wait for the Hybrid Icon to show in the system tray. The hybrid icon indicates that the system is in Performance mode and that GeForce Boost is enabled. The chipset will share the rendering load with the graphic card and boost the performance of the graphic card. Click on the Hybrid Icon in the System tray can select the Hybird mode. The Hybrid modes are listed below. Hybrid-Performance Mode - The hybrid mode where the discrete GPU (dGPU) and mainboard GPU (mGPU) are simultaneously active and working collaboratively to provide higher performance (GeForce Boost) Hybrid-Power Mode - The hybrid mode where the dGPU completely shut off and mGPU renders and drives the display (HybridPower). Important Please note that although you have installed the graphics card in the PCI Express slot, only the onboard video outputs (which be embedded in back panel of mainboard) will work. Hence, you only need to connect a monitor to the onboard video output. 2-24

Hardware Setup
NVIDIA
®
Hybr±d SLI Technology
Hybr±d SLI technology, based on NVIDIA
®
’s ±ndustry-lead±ng SLI technology, del±vers
mult±-GPU benefits when an NVIDIA
®
ma±nboard GPU ±s comb±ned w±th an NVIDIA
®
d±screte GPU.
Enabl±ng Hybr±d SLI Technology
Power off the system and ±nstall the NVIDIA
®
SLI graph±c card that supports Hybr±d SLI
technology. After then, power on the system and ±nstall the “NVIDIA
®
SLI Dr±ver”wh±ch
supports W±ndows V±sta only. Restart the system and wa±t for the Hybr±d Icon to show
±n the system tray. The hybr±d ±con ±nd±cates that the system ±s ±n Performance mode
and that GeForce Boost ±s enabled. The ch±pset w±ll share the render±ng load w±th the
graph±c card and boost the performance of the graph±c card.
Cl±ck on the Hybr±d Icon ±n the System tray can select the Hyb±rd mode. The Hybr±d
modes are l±sted below.
Hybr±d-Performance Mode - The hybr±d mode where the d±screte GPU (dGPU) and
ma±nboard GPU (mGPU) are s±multaneously act±ve and work±ng collaborat±vely to
prov±de h±gher performance (GeForce Boost)
Hybr±d-Power Mode - The hybr±d mode where the dGPU completely shut off and mGPU
renders and dr±ves the d±splay (Hybr±dPower).
Important
Please note that although you have ±nstalled the graph±cs card ±n the PCI Express slot,
only the onboard v±deo outputs
(wh±ch be embedded ±n back panel of ma±nboard) w±ll
work. Hence, you only need to connect a mon±tor to the onboard v±deo output.
