VARIOUS OPERATIONS 123 GHI JKL MNO 456 PQRS TUV WXYZ 789 MARK 0 CURSOR REPEAT DISC DISC - + DISC TRACK SET SET REPEAT MODE PROGRAM CLEAR HIGHLIGHT PREVIOUS BEST BEST To repeat playback (REPEAT play) The operation is available only from the remote control unit. Press the REPEAT button REPEAT during playback. Each time you press the button, the repeat mode changes as follows. 3 One track repeat 3 ALL repeat (ALL/SINGLE/CUSTOM) OFF 2 (One track repeat) Repeats the current or a selected track during play operations other than HIGHLIGHT scan and PREVIOUS scan. (ALL repeat) Repeats in one of the following 3 ways according to the play mode. ALL : Repeats all the tracks on all the discs (1 - 300). SINGLE : Repeats all the tracks on the selected disc. CUSTOM : All of the discs classified under one of the 10 CUSTOM banks are played repeatedly. (OFF) Cancels repeat play and returns the unit to normal play mode. • To stop repeat playback, press 7. • During ALL repeat mode, if the ALL, SINGLE or CUSTOM play mode is not displayed, the currently playing program mode (i.e. PROGRAM play, BEST play, PREVIOUS scan or HIGHLIGHT scan) will be repeated. To store your favorite tracks (BEST play) To use the one-touch memory, just press the BEST button while playing a track you like. You can store up to 50 tracks. • The operation is available only from the remote control unit. • These operations can not be performed on the CD inserted into the SINGLE LOADER SLOT. BEST Press BEST while playing a track you like. The BEST indicator blinks and the disc and track number are stored in memory. RENTAL DISC TRACK REMAIN MIN SEC ALL RANDOM REPEAT - 1 BEST ADLC CUSTOM SINGLE CD TEXT PREVIOUS SCAN PROGRAM Blink BEST Press BEST during stop mode. The BEST indicator lights and playback starts from the most re- cently memorized track. • If you press CLEAR during Best playback, the current track is erased and the next track starts to play. • You cannot memorize a track twice by pressing BEST during Best playback. • If you press BEST to memorize a track when 20 tracks are already memorized, the oldest track is erased from memory and the new track is memorized. • The memorized contents are stored, even when the power is turned off. (Memory Back-Up Function) Memorized data will be stored in memory for approx. 1 month even if the power cord is unplugged. However, this period may be shortened somewhat, depending on the amount of memory used. 14
