ENGLISH PREFERENCE 3 PREFERENCE TV - AU TO OSD I NFO : D I SABLE : ENABLE MA I N EX I T 1. Select "PREFERENCE" in SETUP MAIN MENU with or cursor button, and press the OK button. 2. To select a desired content, press or cursor button. TV AUTO: Select the TV AUTO ON/OFF function to enable or disable with or cursor button. (refer to page 21) OSD INFO: Select the OSD information function to enable or disable with or cursor button. If you select "ENABLE", SR5300 will display the status of the feature (Volume up/down, input select, etc..) on the TV monitor. But if you do not desire this information, select "DISABLE ". If you finish the setup in this item, move cursor to "MAIN" with or cursor buttons and press OK button. SURROUND 4 SURROUND SURR . MODE : HT - EQ LFE LEVEL CENTER SURR . R SURR . C SURR . L SUB W MA I N AUTO OF F 0 dB 0 dB 0 dB 0 dB 0 dB 0 dB EX I T 1. Select "SURROUND" in SETUP MAIN MENU with or cursor button, and press the OK button. 2. To select a desired content , press or cursor button. SURR-MODE : Select the desired surround mode with or cursor button. HT-EQ : Select to active the HT (Home Theater)-EQ with or cursor button. This mode compensates for the audio portion of a movie sounding "bright". This equalizer is effective in Auto, DOLBY, DTS and SEREO mode. When this mode is activated, "HT-EQ" indicator lights up. LFE LEVEL : Select the output level of the LFE signal included in the Dolby Digital signal or the DTS signal. Select 0dB, -10 dB or OFF with or cursor button. The level is ordinarily set to 0 dB except DTS-Music mode. In the DTS-Music mode, default level is set to 10 dB. CENTER : Adjust the volume level of the center speaker between -10 dB and +10 dB in 1 level interval with or cursor button. SURR. R : Adjust the volume level of the surround right speaker between -10 dB and +10 dB in 1 level interval with or cursor button. SURR. C : Adjust the volume level of the surround center speaker between -10 dB and +10 dB in 1 level interval with or cursor button. SURR. L : Adjust the volume level of the surround left speaker between -10 dB and +10 dB in 1 level interval with or cursor button. SUB W : Adjust the volume level of the subwoofer speaker between -10 dB and +10 dB in 1 level interval with or cursor button. If you finish the setup in this item, move cursor to "MAIN" with or cursor buttons and press OK button. Note: • CENTER, SURR.R, SURR. C, SURR. L, and SUB W volume level are synchronized with SETUP MAIN MENU 2-3 Speaker Level. PL2 (PRO LOGIC II) MUSIC PARAMETER Pro Logic II-Music mode creates a rich and enveloping surround ambience from stereo sources such as CDs. PARAMETER: Select "DEFAULT" or "CUSTOM" with or cursor button If you select "CUSTOM", you can adjust three parameters as follow PANORAMA: Select the Panorama mode On or Off with or cursor button. Panorama wraps the sound of the front left and right speakers around you for an exciting perspective. DIMENSION: Set the Dimension level between 0 and 6 level in 1 level interval with or cursor button. Adjust the soundfield either towards the front or towards the rear. This can be useful to help achieve a more suitable balance from all the speakers with certain recordings. CENTER WIDTH: Set the Center width level between 0 and 7 level in 1 level interval with or cursor button. Center Width allows you to gradually spread the center channel sound into the front left and right speakers. At its widest setting, all the sound from the center is mixed into the left and right. This control may help achieve a more spacious sound or a better blend of the front image. If "NONE" was selected for the Center speaker setting in the Speaker size, then this setting will not appear. If you finish the setup in this menu, move cursor to "MAIN" with or cursor buttons and press OK button. 18
