GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS I For a grounded, cord-connected dryer: This dryer must be grounded. In the event of malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current. This dryer is equipped with a cord having an equipmentgrounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment- grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Rigid metal vent: ■■ Recommended for best drying performance and to avoid crushing and kinking. Flexible metal vent: (Acceptable only if accessible to clean) ■■ Must be fully extended and supported in final dryer location. ■■ Remove excess to avoid sagging and kinking that may result in reduced airflow and poor performance. ■■ Do not install in enclosed walls, ceilings, or floors. ■■ The total length should not exceed 73/4 ft.
