USING THE BUILT-IN TROUBLESHOOTING FEATURE 1. Press LEARN MORE 2. Select TROUBLESHOOTING With the washer on, press LEARN MORE to access the built-in troubleshooting feature. Use the LCD control buttons to select TROUBLESHOOTING. Then use the LCD control buttons to select the desired troubleshooting topic. Use the and buttons to advance through the different options. TROUBLESHOOTING First try the solutions suggested here or visit our website at www.maytag.com/help for assistance and to possibly avoid a service call. If you experience Possible Causes Solution Washer Operation Washer will not run Door not closed completely. START/PAUSE button not pressed firmly or held long enough. Make sure the washer door is closed completely. Press and hold the START/PAUSE button 2-5 seconds. Household fuse is blown or circuit breaker has tripped. Wrong type of household fuse. Check that the household fuse is intact and tight, or that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, call a qualified electrician. Use a time-delay fuse. Incorrect power supply. This washer requires a 120-volt power supply. Check with a qualified electrician. Water Leaks Water leaks Fill hoses not attached tightly. Tighten fill-hose connections. Fill hose washers missing. Drain hose connection not correct. Make sure all 4 fill hose washers are installed correctly. Properly secure drain hose to drainpipe or laundry tub. Refer to the Installation Instructions for additional information. Do not place tape over drain opening. Check household plumbing for leaks or clogged sink or drain. Door seal is dirty. Not using HE detergent or using too much HE detergent. Dispenser is clogged. Water can backup out of a clogged sink or drainpipe. Check all household plumbing for leaks (laundry tubs, drain pipe, water pipes, and faucets.) Clean the door seal. See "Washer Maintenance." Use only HE High Efficiency detergents and follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Remove and clean the dispenser. See "Washer Maintenance."
