CYCLE GUIDE Settings and options shown in bold are default settings for that cycle. For best fabric care, choose the cycle that best fits the load being washed. Not all cycles and options are available on all models. This cycle removes more than 95% of allergens. No Spin Light Oxi Treat Stains Heavily soiled, colorfast fabrics Swimsuits, garments that need rinsing only Wet load of garments Heavily soiled fabrics No garments in washer Sanitary Hot Max Extract™ Extra Heavy Clean Boost Use this cycle to eliminate 99.9% with Oxi and Steam† Medium Low No Spin Heavy Medium Light Extra Rinse Water Save Spray Rinse of bacteria when used in conjunction with the Clean Boost with Heater option. Preset cycle setting must be used to achieve the proper sanitization. Be sure to add an Fabric Softener Oxi product to the Liquid Chlorine Bleach Oxi Treat Stains dispenser. Rinse/Drain & Spin Max Extract™ Medium Low No Spin Extra Rinse Use Rinse/Drain & Spin with the Extra Rinse option turned on to get a deep rinse followed by a high-speed spin. The time display will include an estimate of how long it will take to fill and drain the washer. Rinse/Drain & Spin Use Rinse/Drain & Spin to remove excess water from the load by choosing Rinse/ Drain & Spin and turning off Extra Rinse. This cycle may help shorten drying times for some heavy fabrics or special-care garments. Spin speed can be set to a lower setting. Rinse/Drain & Spin may also be used for draining the washer after canceling a cycle or completing a cycle after a power failure. Soak Warm Cool Cold Eco Cold Extra Heavy Heavy Medium Light Adjust the Soil Level to change soak time according to your needs. After the selected soak period has ended, the washer will drain but does not spin the load. After draining, the washer will pause until a wash cycle is selected, to complete the cleaning process. NOTE: Automatic bleach dispensing is not part of the soak cycle. Clean Washer with affresh® Use this cycle every 30 washes to keep the inside of your washer fresh and clean. This cycle uses a higher water level. Use with affresh® Washer Cleaner tablet or liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your washer. This cycle should not be interrupted. See "Washer Care." IMPORTANT: Do not place garments or other items in the washer during the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle. Use this cycle with an empty wash tub. * Wash temperatures vary according to the chosen cycle setting. All cycle settings use a cold rinse temperature. The certification verified that the cycle reduced 99.9% of bacteria typically found in clothing, bedding, and towels. There is no carry over of bacteria between loads after the cycle is complete. Only the Sanitary with Oxi and Steam cycle has been designed to meet the requirements of NSF Protocol P172 for Sanitizing Effectiveness. 8
