Slide the FUNCTION switch ❶ to the AM or FM position, select a radio station and make sure the VOLUME ❷ is set as desired. Slide the Alarm switch ❶ to the AL1, AL2 or 1+2 position and the ALARM MODE switch ❷ to the AUTO position and make sure the power is off. When the actual time matches the selected preset alarm time(s), the unit automatically turns on. To shut off the alarm, see TO SHUT THE ALARM OFF section on the next page. (When waking to a CD program, make sure the PROGRAM indicator is lit before turning off the power.) WAKING TO A CD OR CD PROGRAM When waking to a CD or CD program, the unit will play back the tracks on the CD or the programmed tracks, then it will stop. If the CD or programmed total time is more than 59 minutes, it will only play back for 59 minutes and then stop. 12
