TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service: Symptom Radio Noise or sound distorted on radio broadcasts. AM or FM, no sound. Compact Disc Player CD Player will not play. CD skips while playing. General No sound. Possible Cause Solution Station not tuned properly for AM or FM. FM: AC adapter cord is not extended fully. AM: Unit is not positioned correctly. BAND button not pressed. Volume at minimum. Retune the AM or FM broadcast station. Fully extend AC adapter cord. Rotate unit until best reception is obtained. Press BAND button to select the radio. Increase volume. CD is not selected. CD is not installed or is installed upside-down. Disc is dirty or scratched. Press the Play/Pause button to select CD. Insert CD with label side facing forward. Wipe disc with cloth or use another disc. AC adapter disconnected. No batteries, dead batteries or batteries not installed properly. Power is off. Connect AC adapter. Insert fresh batteries properly. Press the POWER button to turn the unit on.
