Quick Start Guide HS820 Bluetooth® Handsfree Headset Get Connected in 4 Quick Steps 1 - CHARGE 2 - PAIR 3 - START BLUETOOTH 4 - TEST AND USE For help, contact us at 1- 877-MOTOBLU 1 CHARGE YOUR HEADSET 2 PUT YOUR HEADSET IN PAIRING MODE Charge your headset for 2 hours: Before you can use your headset, you must pair (bond) it with your phone. Release Tab Down Volume Buttons Call Button 1 Plug the Motorola charger into the top of the headset with the release tab facing down. Blue Light The blue light turns on when the headset is charging. It may take up to 1 1 Ensure the headset is powered off (the blue minute for the blue light to turn on. light is not blinking). When the headset is fully charged (about 2 hours), the blue light turns off. 2 Unplug the charger from the headset. 2 PUT YOUR HEADSET IN PAIRING MODE CONTINUED 2 Press and hold the Call E button for 6 to 10 seconds until the blue light turns on and remains on. NOTE: The blue light will flash as you press and hold the Call E button. Continue holding down the Call E button until the blue light is steadly lit. NOTE: If you let go of the Call E button before the blue light is on and steady, ensure that your headset is off before trying again (see QUICK TIPS for instructions on turning off your headset). 3 TURN ON BLUETOOTH ON YOUR PHONE AND PAIR WITH HEADSET Your phone's Bluetooth feature is off by default. To use your headset, the Bluetooth feature must be turned on in your phone. To turn on Bluetooth: 1 Press (Menu) M(key. 2 Select Settings. 3 Select Connection. 4 Select Bluetooth Link 5 Select Setup 6 Scroll to Power and select CHANGE. 7 Select On. Motorola, Inc. To make a call: 1 Place the headset over your ear. 9 Select Handsfree. 10 Select [Look For Devices]. NOTE: Do not select STOP---you will automatically be taken to the next screen. 11 Select Motorola HS820. 12 Select YES to bond. 13 Enter the passkey 0000 and select OK. When your headset and phone are successfully paired, the blue light on your headset will change from steadly lit to flashing. 2 On your phone, dial the number you want to call and press the SEND key. 3 If your phone and headset are successfully paired, you will hear ringing on the headset. After you have successfully paired your phone and headset, you do not need to repeat these steps. For daily use, ensure that your headset is turned ON and that your phone's Bluetooth feature is ON. To conserve battery power, turn OFF the headset when you will not be using it for an extended time. QUICK TIPS To turn on the headset, press and hold the Call E button on your Bluetooth headset for 5 seconds. The blue light will flash rapidly and then flash slowly. To answer or end a call, press the Call E button on the headset. To adjust the volume, press the Volume buttons (shown in step 2) on the headset. NOTE: The Volume buttons are initially set up for wearing your headset on your right ear (like shown in step 2)--with the top button used to increase volume. You can set which button is used to increase volume by pressing and holding the desired Volume button (along with the Call E button) while turning on the headset. To turn off the headset, press and hold the Call E button on your Bluetooth headset for 5 seconds. The blue light will flash rapidly and then stop flashing. TROUBLESHOOTING My phone does not find my headset Make sure the blue light on your headset is on and steady when your phone is searching for devices (see step 2). My headset worked before but now it's not working. Make sure your phone is on and the Bluetooth feature is turned on in your phone (step 3). If the Bluetooth feature has been turned off, you may need to restart the Bluetooth feature (see step 3) and pair your phone and headset again (see step 2). TEST AND USE
Your phone and headset are now paired
and ready to make and receive calls.
To make a call:
Place the headset over your ear.
On your phone, dial the number you want
to call and press the
SEND
key.
If your phone and headset are successfully
paired, you will hear ringing on the headset.
After you have successfully paired your
phone and headset, you do not need to
repeat these steps. For daily use, ensure
that your headset is turned ON and that
your phone's Bluetooth feature is ON.
To conserve battery power, turn OFF the
headset when you will not be using it for an
extended time.

My phone does not find my headset

Charge your headset for 2 hours:
Plug the Motorola charger into the top of
the headset with the release tab facing
