Making a Call Using the Base Station The procedure for making a call using the base station is the same as making one from the handset. However, when you dial from the base station, it functions in speakerphone mode only. Adjusting the Speakerphone Volume Press the volume up or volume down key (see page 27). Switching Between the Handset and Speakerphone Press Handsfree. Muting a Call Press MUTE (a). To unmute the call, press UNMUTE (a). Putting a Call on Hold Press HOLD (a). To return to the call, press UNHOLD (a) or ON. When a call is on hold, you can use the intercom features (see page 40). 29 Using the Basic Functions
