Take depth enabled photos Find it: Camera > Menu > Depth enabled The depth enabled feature is used to blur portions of your photo while keeping the main subject in perfect focus. Note: The depth enabled feature is not available when using the front camera for selfies. 1 In the Camera app, select Menu > Depth enabled. 2 Line up your subjects. The closest subject is prioritized automatically. Tap other areas of the screen to change the focal point. Tip: For best results, subjects should be 2-6 feet away and not side-by-side. When photographing people, aim for the waist up. 3 Tap to take the photo and hold your camera steady. Note: The photo on your screen is a preview of the image. The blur effect is added using the Depth Editor. 4 The photo is saved and displays in your Gallery with "Depth Enabled" or the icon at the top of the image. Edit depth enabled photos Photos taken using the depth enabled feature are edited using the Depth Editor app. Note: Once your photos have been saved to Photos, the depth enabled icon will display on the thumbnail. 1 Select a depth enabled photo and tap Edit . 2 On the Edit menu, tap Depth Editor. 3 In the editor, choose the Selective B&W, Selective focus or Replace background mode. 4 Tap on your photo to select the subject to keep in focus. • For Selective B&W, the unselected subjects will be changed to black and white. • For Selective focus, use the Blur slider to change the amount of blur to apply to the unselected subjects. Slide right to increase the blur and left to decrease. • For Replace background, use other images in your gallery to select a new background for the selected subject. The selected subject can also be moved to another part of the photo. 5 Tap Save to save a copy of the photo with your changes. The original photo will not be replaced. View, share, & use photos & videos Find it: Swipe up > Photos • Play, share, or delete: Tap a thumbnail to open it, then tap to share, to delete, or Menu for more options. Tip: To select multiple files, open a folder, touch and hold a photo, then tap others. Or group photos in an album and share the whole album.

The depth enabled feature is used to blur portions of your
photo while keeping the main subject in perfect focus.
Note:
The depth enabled feature is not available when using
the front camera for selfies.

In the Camera app, select Menu

Depth enabled
.

Line up your subjects. The closest subject is prioritized
automatically. Tap other areas of the screen to change
the focal point.
Tip:
For best results, subjects should be 2-6 feet away
and not side-by-side. When photographing people, aim
for the waist up.

Tap
to take the photo and hold your camera steady.
Note:
The photo on your screen is a preview of the
image. The blur effect is added using the Depth Editor.

The photo is saved and displays in your Gallery with
“Depth Enabled” or the icon
at the top of the image.
Edit depth enabled photos
Photos taken using the depth enabled feature are edited
using the Depth Editor app.
Note:
Once your photos have been saved to
Photos
, the
depth enabled icon
will display on the thumbnail.

Select a depth enabled photo and tap
Edit
.

On the Edit menu, tap
Depth Editor
.

In the editor, choose the
Selective B&W
,
Selective focus
or
Replace background
mode.

Tap on your photo to select the subject to keep in focus.
For Selective B&W, the unselected subjects will be
changed to black and white.
For Selective focus, use the Blur slider to change the
amount of blur to apply to the unselected subjects.
Slide right to increase the blur and left to decrease.
For Replace background, use other images in your
gallery to select a new background for the selected
subject. The selected subject can also be moved to
another part of the photo.

Tap
Save
to save a copy of the photo with your changes.
The original photo will not be replaced.
View, share, & use photos & videos
