GETTING STARTED 1. Unpack your coffeemaker and remove plastic bags, cartons and any tape on the unit. 2. Position coffeemaker on a dry, stable, horizontal counter top. IMPORTANT: KEEP PLASTIC BAGS AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Clean Coffee Maker Before Use Follow these simple steps: 1. Wash all of the removable parts in warm water with a mild liquid soap. Dry thoroughly and reinsert into the coffeemaker. 2. Using the water pitcher, fill the water tank to the "MAX" marking with clean, filtered water. 3. Plug your HotCupTM coffeemaker into a main supply socket and press the dry boil reset button. NOTE: If the dry boil reset button has been previously pressed, skip this step. 4. Position your cup on the coffeemaker according to its height: a. If using a small cup, keep the drip tray in place and position the cup on the drip tray cover. b. If using a tall cup, remove the drip tray and position the cup underneath the brew basket. 5. Turn the knob to 12 oz. 6. Press the brew now button. NOTE: The coffeemaker will make a "pfff" sound when the coffee is brewing, the water tank light will shut off, and the water level in the water tank will go down. 7. Discard the water in the cup. Your new HotCupTM coffeemaker is ready to use! 7. HOW TO MAKE YOUR FIRST POT OF COFFEE 1. Using the water pitcher, fill the water tank to the "MAX" marking with clean, filtered water. 2. Plug your HotCupTM coffeemaker into a main supply socket. 3. Slide the brew basket out. 4. Place a standard #2 cone filter into the cone basket located inside the brew basket. Make sure to fold the paper filter seams to ensure it fits properly inside the brew basket. 5. Using the coffee scoop pour the desired amount of coffee grounds into the paper filter. 6. Insert the brew basket into the coffeemaker. 7. Position your cup on the coffeemaker according to its height: a. If using a small cup, keep the drip tray in place and position the cup on the drip tray cover. b. If using a tall cup, remove the drip tray and position the cup underneath the brew basket. 8. Turn the knob to select your desired brew size. 9. Press the brew now button. NOTE: The coffeemaker will make a "pfff" sound when the coffee is brewing, the water tank light will shut off, and the water level in the water tank will go down. 10. Enjoy! NOTE: The cancel button will only cancel the brewing process before the coffeemaker begins dispensing coffee. After the coffeemaker begins dispensing coffee, the brewing process cannot be cancelled. Suggested Coffee Measurement Chart: Brew Size 6 oz. 8 oz. 10 oz. 12 oz. Ground Coffee 1 scoop 1 1/3 scoops 1 2/3 scoops 2 scoops Teaspoons 6 tsp. 8 tsp. 10 tsp. 12 tsp. Problem Coffeemaker shut off and won't brew. Possible Causes The water tank ran out of water during the brew cycle causing the coffeemaker to overheat. Solutions Add water to the water tank and the let the coffeemaker cool down for 30 seconds. Then, press the dry boil reset button located at the back of the unit (make sure the dry boil reset button is fully inserted back into the unit). 8.

Problem
Coffeemaker shut
off and won't brew.
Possible Causes
