As an EPEAT requirement, both displays are also ENERGY STAR® compliant. Products that earn the ENERGY STAR designation prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. By leveraging NEC's ECO Mode™, users can lower power consumption and the amount of waste heat released into the environment. The built-in carbon footprint meter informs and motivates responsible use of the display by calculating and tracking carbon savings.
