GS700TP Smart Switch Software Administration Manual The Port Authentication screen contains the following fields: • Interface - Displays the interfaces. • User Name - Displays the supplicant (client) user name, once the user is authenticated. • Port Control - Select the port authorization state. - Auto - The port control is Auto and a single client has been authenticated via the port. - Authorized - The port control is Forced Authorized, and clients have full port access. - Unauthorized - Either the port control is force Unauthorized, or the port control is Auto but a client has not been authenticated via the port. • Guest VLAN - Select whether the Guest VLAN is enabled or disabled on the port. The default VLAN cannot be defined as a Guest VLAN. The possible field values are: - Enable - Enable using a Guest VLAN for unauthorized ports. If a Guest VLAN is enabled, the unauthorized port automatically joins the VLAN selected in the VLAN List field. - Disable - Disable the Guest VLAN on the port. This is the default value. • Periodic Reauthentication - Select whether periodic port reauthentication is enabled or disabled. The possible field values are: - Enable - Enable periodic port reauthentication. - Disable - Disable port reauthentication. This is the default value. • Reauthentication Period - Enter the time span (in seconds) in which the selected port is reauthenticated. The field default is 3600 seconds. • Authenticator State - Displays whether immediate port reauthentication is enabled or disabled. The possible field values are: - Enable - Immediate port reauthentication is enabled. - Disable - Immediate port reauthentication is disabled. This is the default value. • Quiet Period - Enter the number of seconds that the device remains in the quiet state following a failed authentication exchange. The possible field range is 0-65535. The field default is 60 seconds. • Resending EAP - Enter the amount of time (in seconds) that lapses before EAP requests are resent.
