Remove an M6100 switch blade This section describes how to remove blades from a M6100 series chassis switch. Switch blades are hot-swappable. You do not need to power the system off to remove a module. You need the following tools and equipment to remove a switch blade: • No. 2 Phillips screwdriver • Replacement module or blank faceplate if you are not replacing the module To remove a module: 1. To unlock the module, turn each captive screw counterclockwise. Verify that the yellow band around the captive screw head of each injector/ejector handle is completely visible. This position ensures that the module is unlocked. CAUTION: Be sure to turn each captive screw only 90 degrees or, one-quarter turn, counterclockwise. To remove a module:
