More on Playback Printing Pictures To print the pictures from the camera memory card: • take the card to a digital print service center • insert the card into a personal photo printer equipped with a CompactFlash™ card slot • transfer the pictures using Nikon View and print them from a computer (see the Nikon View Reference Manual, on CD-ROM) To print the time and date of recording on pictures: • take pictures using the Date imprint option in the setup menu, which imprints the date or date and time of recording directly on pictures as they are taken ( 145) • if the photo printer or print service supports Digital Print Order Format (DPOF), use the Date option in the Print set > Print selection menu ( 127) • transfer the pictures using Nikon View and print them using the Nikon View date imprint option (see the Nikon View Reference Manual, on CD-ROM) "Print Set" and Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) The Print set option in the playback menu is used to create a digital "print order" listing the pictures to be printed, the number of prints, and the information to be included on each print. This print order is stored on the camera memory card in Digital Print Order Format (DPOF). Once a print order has been created, the memory card can be inserted in a DPOF-compatible device and the pictures printed directly from the card. Before using this option, check that the printer or print service supports DPOF.
