A The Live View Display The movie crop can be viewed during live view by pressing the R button to select the "show movie indicators", "hide indicators", or "framing grid" display (0 150). When movie indicators are displayed, you can access the following movie settings by pressing the P button: movie frame size/quality, microphone sensitivity, focus mode (0 144), AF-area mode (0 145), white balance (0 124), and exposure compensation (0 118). If On is selected for Movie settings > Manual movie settings (0 159) in mode M, ISO sensitivity (0 95) can be adjusted in place of exposure compensation. P button A Using an External Microphone The optional ME-1 stereo microphone can be used to record sound in stereo or to reduce noise caused by lens vibration being recorded during autofocus. D The Count-Down Display A count down will be displayed 30 s before live view ends automatically (0 148). Depending on shooting conditions, the timer may appear immediately when movie recording begins. Note that regardless of the amount of recording time available, live view will still end automatically when the timer expires. Wait for the internal circuits to cool before resuming movie recording.
