(defaults to 1/60 s) Choose the slowest shutter available when the flash is used in modes P and A. (defaults to Entire frame) Choose how the camera adjusts flash level when exposure compensation is used. A Fixing Shutter Speed at the Flash Sync Speed Limit To fix shutter speed at the sync speed limit in mode S or M, select the next shutter speed after the slowest possible shutter speed (30 s or %). An X (flash sync indicator) will be displayed in the viewfinder and control panel. A Auto FP High-Speed Sync Selecting an "Auto FP" option allows compatible flash units to be used at the highest shutter speed supported by the camera. Auto FP highspeed sync is enabled automatically at shutter speeds faster than the chosen flash sync speed (1/320 s or 1/250 s depending on the option selected), allowing wider apertures for reduced depth of field even in daylight. If the shutter-speed displays in the control panel and viewfinder show a value equal to the flash sync speed in modes P and A, auto FP high-speed sync will still be activated if the actual shutter speed is even slightly faster. The information display flash mode indicator shows "FP" when auto FP high-speed sync is active. 265
