Should this occur, remove the battery and re-insert it into the adapter to continue charging. • Should an abnormality or malfunction occur, discontinue use immediately and request repairs from your NN retailer or Nikon Service Bureau. H • If the camera is connected while recharging is in progress, turning the camera on will cause the AC adapter to stop charging the battery so that it can supply power to the camera. Recharging will resume when the camera is turned off. Unplug the DC plug from the camera's DC-IN connector. Connecting the EH-21 AC Adapter (Figure 2) 1 Plug the power cable into the AC adapter. 2 Plug the power cable into a power outlet. The POWER/CHARGE lamp will turn red (Figure 2-a). 3 Open the door which covers the camera's DC-IN connector and insert the power jack into the DC-IN connector (Figure 2-b). 4 Turn the camera on. The POWER/CHARGE lamp will glow green, indicating that the camera is ready for use. * If you turn off the camera's monitor while using the AC adapter, the green POWER/CHARGE lamp will glow red (if the Nikon EN-EL1 battery is placed in the batter y bay, the lamp will either glow or flash orange). You can continue to use the EH-21 as usual. When operating the camera with the AC adapter, take care that the camera does not accidentally become unplugged. ✔ IMPORTANT Before disconnecting the AC adapter, be sure the camera is off. Unplug the DC plug from the camera's DC-IN connector, then unplug the power cable from the power source by pulling on the plug, not the cable.
