Precautions for Use • Do not use the product with non-compatible devices. • Remove the power cable from the power outlet when not in use. • Do not short the DC plug. • Do not apply excessive force to the DC plug or cable while the AC adapter and camera are connected. Failure to observe this precaution may result in malfunction. Connecting the AC Adapter Before connecting the AC adapter, be sure the camera is off. Follow these steps to connect the adapter (Figure 2; illustration shows COOLPIX 8800): 1 Plug the AC adapter plug into the AC adapter (Figure 2-a). 2 Open the connector cover and insert the DC plug into the DC IN connector (Figure 2-b). 3 Plug the wall plug into a power outlet. The POWER lamp will glow, showing that the EH-54 is plugged in (Figure 2-c). If the POWER lamp does not light, unplug the AC adapter and take the charger to a Nikon representative for inspection. 4 Turn the camera on. You can now use the camera. When operating the camera with the AC adapter, take care that the camera does not accidentally become unplugged. ✔ IMPORTANT Before disconnecting the AC adapter, be sure the camera is off. Unplug the DC plug from the camera's DC-IN connector, then unplug the power cable from the power source by pulling on the plug, not the cable. Falls die Netzkontrolllampe (POWER) nicht leuchten sollte, entfernen Sie den Netzadapter wieder und lassen das Gerät bitte bei der nächstgelegenen Nikon Servicestelle überprüfen. 4 Schalten Sie die Kamera ein. Sie können jetzt mit der Kamera arbeiten. Wenn Sie die Kamera über den Netzadapter mit Strom versorgen, sollten Sie darauf achten dass die Verbindung zwischen beiden Geräten nicht versehentlich getrennt wird, während die Kamera eingeschaltet ist. ✔ WICHTIG Bevor Sie die Kabelverbindung zwischen Kamera und Netzadapter trennen, sollten Sie sicherstellen dass die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist. Suivez les étapes suivantes pour connecter l'adaptateur (figure 2 ; l'illustration montre le COOLPIX 8800). 1 Branchez le cordon d'alimentation dans l'adaptateur secteur (figure 2-a). 2 Ouvrez le couvercle du port alimentation boîtier et branchez la fiche alimentation boîtier sur ce même port (figure 2-b). 3 Branchez le cordon d'alimentation dans une prise de courant. Le témoin lumineux de mise sous tension s'allumera pour indiquer que le EH-54 est bien installé (figure 2-c). Si le témoin de mise sous tension ne s'allume pas, débranchez l'adaptateur secteur et apportez le à un centre de service agréé Nikon pour vérification. 4 Mettez l'appareil-photo sous tension. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser votre appareil photo. Lorsque l'appareil photo fonctionne avec l'adaptateur secteur, veillez à ce qu'il ne se débranche pas accidentellement. ✔ IMPORTANT Avant de déconnecter l'adaptateur secteur, assurezvous que l'appareil photo est éteint. Débranchez la fiche alimentation boîtier, puis déconnectez la fiche alimentation secteur en tirant sur la prise et non sur le cordon.
