Troubleshooting Check the cause of the trouble using the following chart. It may save you a trip to your nearest Nikon service center. E Problem The shutter cannot be released. Check this •If the orange LED blinks when the shutter release button is pressed lightly, the flash is recycling and the shutter is locked. Remove your finger from the shutter release button and wait for approx. 8 seconds. Then lightly press the shutter release button again and make sure the orange LED lights up before reshooting. •If the green LED blinks slowly when shutter is released, the subject is too close. Move farther away from the subject. •If the letteʠr ´ʡand the cartridge indicator " " appear on the LCD panel, the film loaded is not usable. Replace the film with a new cartridge. Ref. page 14, 21 14, 26 10, 17, 18 The flash does not fire. •If the orange LED blinks when the shutter release button is pressed lightly, the flash is recycling and the shutter is locked. Remove your finger from the shutter release button and wait for approx. 8 seconds. Then lightly press the shutter release button again and make sure the orange LED lights up before reshooting. •Check battery power.
