Macro Mode, The Macro Mode Setting

Basic Photography and Playback: Auto Mode Macro Mode Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 10 cm (4 in.). Note that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 60 cm (2 ft.). 1 Press p (macro mode). The macro menu is displayed. 2 Use the multi selector to choose ON and press the k button. The macro mode icon (F) is displayed. If a setting is not applied by pressing the k button within a few seconds, the selection will be cancelled. 3 Rotate the zoom control to frame the picture. The camera can focus at a distance of 10 cm (4 in.) at the zoom position at which F glows green (the zoom indicator is positioned before K).
