By combining the optical zoom with the digital zoom, zoom magnification can be increased to a maximum of approximately 14x. Camera movement is likely to occur at higher magnifications. Stabilize the camera with a tripod, etc. to avoid camera movement. 1 Turn the zoom lever. 2 Take the picture while looking in the viewfinder. • Pictures taken with the digital zoom may appear grainy.
