Verbal Comment The data recorded with the F1(VERBAL) button being pressed during recording, is recorded as a Verbal comment position (a position within a file) in the header. It is possible to instantly search and play back Verbal comment sections through DSS Player, thereby making it useful for things like giving instructions to transcriptionists. 3 F1 button Verbal Comment OK/MENU, +, 9, 0 button ERASE button Setting a Verbal Comment 1 While the recorder is recording mode, press and hold the F1(VERBAL) button, then release it when you want to stop. Clear the settings before erasing. • When the recorder has been set to Classic DSS mode Verbal comments cannot be recorded. Clearing an Verbal Comment

While playing a Verbal Comment, press
the
ERASE
button.

button to select [Clear],
then press the
OK/MENU
button.
The Verbal Comment is erased.
