DRIVE Using sequential (continuous) shooting o Shoots 1 frame at a time when the shutter button is pressed. W Focus and exposure are locked at the first frame. The sequential shooting speed varies depending on the image quality setting. You can take a sequence of pictures at one time by holding down the shutter button. The camera will take pictures continuously until you release the shutter button. • When [W] is selected, the following setting restrictions apply. • The flash mode is fixed at [$]. • [ISO] is fixed at [AUTO]. • [IMAGE QUALITY] is limited to [2048 × 1536] or lower. • [FINE ZOOM], [DIGITAL ZOOM], and [R] cannot be set. FINE ZOOM Zooming in on your subject without reducing image quality OFF /ON Combines optical zoom and image capture to enable greater magnification (maximum of 16x). There is no deterioration in the image quality since data conversion (by increasing pixel resolution) is not performed. • The available [IMAGE QUALITY] setting is [SQ1] or lower. • The available magnification varies depending on the [IMAGE QUALITY] setting. • This function is not available with Digital Zoom activated. DIGITAL ZOOM Zooming in on your subject OFF /ON The digital zoom can be used to take close-up shots with stronger magnification when combined with optical zoom. (Optical Zoom × Digital Zoom: maximum 28×) • This function is not available with Fine Zoom activated. When taking pictures against strong backlight, the center of the picture may appear dark. Only the center of the monitor is metered. Recommended for taking a picture against strong backlight.
