IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions before using. 2. DO NOT touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs. 3. Be sure that handles and knobs are assembled and fastened properly. 4. Keep door of Main Unit closed while operating. Do not touch Popcorn Kettle and appliance while operating; appliance is very HOT. 5. A Popcorn Maker that is plugged into an outlet should not be left unattended. 6. This Popcorn Maker will not shut off automatically. To avoid overheating, add corn and oil before operating. 7. Extreme caution must be used when unloading popcorn. Always turn the Popcorn Kettle over a countertop so that residual hot oil or water running out will not cause burns. 8. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug or any part of this appliance in water or other liquids. 9. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. 10. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet. 11. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and before cleaning. 12. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, nor if the appliance has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest repair shop for examination or repair. 13. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of accessory attachments. POLARIZED PLUG INFORMATION To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of tripping hazards. Extensions cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
