3. Recording Modes ∫ Technique for Panorama Shot Mode Swivel the camera around its center when moving it in the recording direction. Hold the camera with both hands, taking care not to shake it. • When the focal length is long, such as when a telephoto lens is attached, move the camera slowly. • If the camera shakes too much, pictures may not be able to be recorded, or the recorded panorama picture may become narrower (smaller). • Move the camera towards the edge of the range you wish to record. (The edge of the range will not be recorded in the last frame) (P83) • If you change the facial expression or blink, the recorded picture may look unnatural. Try to stay still. Example: • We recommend setting the zoom position to Wide when using Self Shot Mode. • Since the distance between the camera and subject is close when you take panorama pictures in Self Shot Mode, the edges of the pictures may appear significantly distorted. 70
