Connecting to other equipment [Windows] The drive appears in the [My Computer] folder. • If you are connecting the camera to a PC for the first time, the required driver is installed automatically so that the camera can be recognized by "Windows Plug and Play". The drive then appears on the [My Computer] folder. [Macintosh] The drive is displayed on the screen. • The drive is displayed as [LUMIX] when you connect the camera with no card inserted. • The drive is displayed as [NO_NAME] or [Untitled] when you connect the camera with a card inserted. ∫ About motion picture playback on a PC Use the software "QuickTime" (for Windows 2000/XP) in the CD-ROM (supplied) to play back motion pictures recorded on this camera on a PC. • If you use "Windows 98/98SE/Me", download "QuickTime6.5.2 for PC" from the following site, and install it. http://www.apple.com/support/quicktime/ • This software is installed as standard on a "Macintosh OS". ∫ Folder Composition Folders are displayed as shown in the following illustration. ≥SD Memory Card ≥SDHC Memory Card ≥MultiMediaCard ≥Built-in memory (DMC-FX3) DCIM 100_PANA 1 100_PANA P1000001.JPG 23 P1000002.JPG P1000999.JPG 101_PANA 999_PANA MISC 1 Folder number 2 File number 3 JPG: pictures MOV: motion pictures The items in each folder are as follows. [DCIM] Folders from [100_PANA] to [999_PANA] [100_PANA] Pictures/motion pictures to [999_PANA] [MISC] Files on which the DPOF print settings are recorded • The data for up to 999 pictures recorded by the camera can be included in 1 folder.
