Technical use Formatting the Card Usually, it is not necessary to format the card (initializing). Format the card when this message is displayed "MEMORY CARD ERROR". • If the card has been formatted by a PC or other equipment, format the card on the camera again. 1 2,3,4 2 PLAY2/2 SETUP TRIMMING FORMAT SELECT SET EXIT MENU 3 FORMAT DELETE ALL DATA ON THE MEMORY CARD? [Preparation] • Set the mode dial to playback [ ]. (P22) 1 Press the [MENU] button. 2 Press 3/4 to select [FORMAT] and then press 1. 3 When this message is displayed "DELETE ALL DATA ON THE MEMORY CARD?", press 2/1 to select [YES]. 4 Press the 4/[REVIEW/SET] button. • The card is formatted. • After formatting, recorded images and any other data cannot be recovered. YES SELECT NO SET • When formatting, use the batteries which the remaining power is enough or AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC1). • During formatting, do not turn the power off. • If the card cannot be formatted, consult your dealer.
