TROUBLESHOOTING Display Status before error Remeasure mark E is displayed. El Pressurisation to more than 280mmHg was performed. Pressure decreased suddenly and the remeasure mark E appeared. Be sure yourarmis pmpon'y insertedinto the main are. See p. 13. No pressurization If problem continues Symptom Systolic or diastolic blood pressure value is high or low. Value is different from that measured by the doctor. µeasurement values are different vrith each measurement. No display appears even when the On/Off Start button is pressed. When the OnfOffStartbuttonis pressed, the display disappears during preesurkation (eX3 mark apears). During pressurization, the sound a pressurization rate thanges. Pressure cuff comes off Possible cause • You moved or talked during measurements. • Your arm was not inserted properly into the main unit. See p.13 and14. • Blood pressure varies in response to minute changes in your mental state, such as your reaction to a doctor's presence. • Relax for 4 to 5 minutes and take another measurement. See p.14and17. • Batteries are installed vrith the polarities wrong. See p. 11. • Batteries are exhausted. See p. 11. • Since measurements are taken during pressurization, operating sound may be heard and pressurization rate may change during pressurization. This is normal and is not a malfunction. • Press the ring portion on the outside of tile pressure culf into the main body. See p. 18. Instrument is broken. Take it to the store where it was purchased for testing and repairs. 26 27
