With other products 1 Connecting a DVD burner to copy to/play back a disc Motion pictures or still pictures recorded with this unit can be copied to a DVD disc by connecting a DVD burner VW-BN1 (optional) to this unit using a Mini AB USB Connection Cable (supplied with VW-BN1). The copied DVD disc can also be played back. ≥ Please read the operating instructions of the DVD burner for how to use it. Preparing for copying/playing back We recommend using Panasonic DVD burner VW-BN1. About discs that can be used for copying Copy to a new*1 12 cm DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R or DVD-R DL. You can additionally copy only to a DVD-RAM.*2 ≥ You cannot copy to 8 cm discs or iRW/iR/iR DL/CD-RW/CD-R. ≥ We recommend using the discs that have been recommended in the operating instructions of the DVD burner. Refer to the operating instructions of the DVD burner for details about recommended discs, disc handling etc. ≥ Message [CANNOT COPY TO DISC WITH RECORDED IMAGES. INSERT DISC WITH NO RECORDED IMAGES.] may be displayed when a new DVD-RAM is used. In that case, format the DVD-RAM with the DVD burner before use. (l 103) *1 You cannot record on a disc that has already been used. However if a DVD-RAM or a DVD-RW is formatted with the DVD burner, then it can be used for copying. Please be aware that if a disc is formatted, then all the data recorded on the disc will be erased. *2 Only DVD-RAM copied with the DVD burner or HD Writer 2.6E can additionally copy. You cannot copy motion pictures and still pictures to the same disc, so only motion pictures can be copied to a DVD-RAM with motion pictures copied, and only still pictures can be copied to a DVD-RAM with still pictures copied. 96 VQT1T64
